Haha! My school supply rant is against three boxes of tissues and two boxes of gallon ziploc bags. My kids never once used a ziploc bag in their entire school career, so where do they go and what are they for? Tissues? Last year when my daughter needed one, after having brought three boxes to school in the beginning of the year, her teacher wouldn't let her take one from the box on the teacher's desk, "Those are mine" she said. You can be sure I'd never send in another box again. High school is different, they just want the kids to show up.
No, it's just not high school. My kindergartener was refused a tissue last week too...
